When you skip your nap...
Taisei has been fighting his naps lately. This was the result yesterday.Wami couldn't believe her eyes. He normally won't sleep anywhere but his room or in the car. Here, he slept on the kitchen tile floor for over an hour and a half.
It's amazing to watch a toddler grow up seemingly right before your eyes. He's not talking as well as all of his girlfriends. He doesn't have any guy friends his age, so we have no way to compare. But all his girlfriends speak so well at the same age. He still can communicate effectively and has been connecting more and more words in Japanese or English. All the autism news lately got me a little worried since he's slower to speak than the girls around him and generally not very social. But just a little observation changed my mind in a hurry. It's obvious that he is soaking up the world around him at an incredible rate.

There's so much more that he's done lately, I can't remember everything. Here are some more pictures instead. We went to the Children's Museum at the Gateway last weekend.

I can't believe he crashed out on the kitchen floor like that. What a cutie. Was he any grumpier or more disoriented waking up in the kitchen?

I had to wake him up because it was getting close to bedtime. He didn't really want to wake up, but he was OK since I was there when he woke up.
By the way, he doesn't usually wear pajamas in the day. One of our friends just gave it to him and he was so excited that he wanted to wear it right away. That's why he was wearing it. :)

Oh that's funny. I didn't even think about the fact that he was wearing pjs during the day because he was doing what you're supposed to be doing in pjs - sleeping.

I wish Adele would sleep anywhere. She is fighting sleep period because she thinks it should be dark at night. "But mommy, there are CLOUDS in the SKY!!"

Oh Taisei's the same. Normally, he'll only sleep in his bed (always a big struggle) or in his car seat while the car is moving. This just demonstrates how tired he was after skipping one too many naps.

Ha, that is so cute of Adele.
After spending a day at the zoo with Adele, I wish I could have been at the Children's Museum with Taisei.
He looked like he was having a great time.
