Slim Shady Doing His Thing

Look what Taisei did yesterday!

Ok, it's a little hard to tell from that picture. He stood up on his own! He did it several times until he smacked his face against his humidifier. Then, today he did it again several times. Each time, it's about 3-5 seconds, so getting a picture has been pretty hard. He seems to be practicing because he just stands there and doesn't move a muscle. He just looks straight ahead, or at the ground. Yes, the end of our sanity is near.

And look what else Taisei did today!

Wami informs me that he was panting as he went for it too. OK, it's probably not something to be overly proud of. But Hiro's food bowl has become his primary destination for weeks now. Finally, he caught mommy off guard and got to it. Since he can't chew food yet, we didn't let him finish it. ;)

And one more for kicks.
Here's how good of an eater he's become.
It's actually opposite of what I said in the last posting. He has now grown tired of peas, carrots, and applesauce. We're not sure if he's picky or what. But he seems to like bread and mashed potatoes. That's really all we're sure of at the moment. Oh, and prune juice for his constipation! haha!

Actually, because he suddenly started rejecting solid foods and living off mama's milk again, his #2 has returned back to a really stinky liquid consistency again. Is that normal, moms out there?

he's soooooo CUTE! he looks like a little man now. i can see his funny personality coming out. definitely past the baby stage. it's crazy how fast these little buggers grow. and elias has started arching his back in the carseat now. joyous momentous occasion.

Hey, just like his cousin. Adele stood up by herself at 9 months and 3 weeks. She also took some wobbly steps, then the walking began. How fun!

Adele got tired of her food too. We got to a point where she would only eat oatmeal and yogurt. Or nothing. Just keep trying. Some days or even weeks are better than others. Sometimes she won't hardly eat a thing. (And yeah, when she went back to mommy milk, her poop nearly exploded out of her diaper, after being constipated from solids. eewww, well you asked.).

Actually, Taisei suddenly accepted the carseat again. Hopefully Elias will realize that he, too, can never escape. At least for the first year.

Geez. Yeah, Taisei's not a great eater. He doesn't ever seem to be hungry. We feed him b/c it's time to eat, but unless we distract him with a TV show, he'd rather play. Ugh. As long as he keeps growing upwards, I guess.

Hey,
I remember when Jerin tricked me into eating a pebble of dog food at a grocery store. Glad to know Taisei sort of followed in my unfortunate footsteps. He he.

I did that? No! What kind of brother is that? Maybe it was Emily. hehe.

It is so fun to see Taisei walking. This got to be high-light of the day (or play of the week while I am here in Taiwan), actually one of the play of the year for Taisei, right?

Love,dad (grandpa)
