Taisei seemed to prefer the Atlantic Ocean over the Pacific Ocean. Or maybe he likes Florida more than California? It could be just that he's a little older this trip.

Taisei the Treasure Hunter

It seems like when Taisei makes some kind of mental breakthrough, he gets so involved that he would rather skip his naps. It's not always clear to us what the breakthrough is, but it's clear that it happened. And he won't sleep, even though he's tired.

Taisei seems to have passed Hiro on the problem-solving arena. Lately, he likes to check under pillows to see if Mom has hidden her cell phone there. That's where Wami keeps her cell phone when she's feeding Taisei. The funniest thing is his face when he finds it. His face just beams.

Taisei also figured out how to dismantle his humidifier so he can stick his hand in the water. Whenever he accomplishes his goal, it's apparent because he gets a big grin on his face.

He's now determined and less distracted. Once he decides that he wants to do something, he won't give up. Just a few weeks ago, you just had to put a treat or new toy in front of his face and he'd merrily go his way. Now, if you try to distract him, he just gets mad and wants you out of his way. It's hard for me to believe that development can really occur this fast. Makes me feel dumb that I haven't learned much over the past few days... or years.
