What's a weekend without the outdoors? This time, we took the Young Men and Women, along with our kids (Taisei & Hiro) and hiked the Corner Canyon Trail down in Draper. Hiro had a blast running around on the trail. Taisei most enjoyed sucking on my hand as we walked up the trail.

Wipe out! That's what you get for not holding still, little man! He was trying to escape from the sleeping pad. He made it... by face-planting into the carpet. But he enjoyed it and continues to work on his escape artist skills. Hiro is unfazed by the commotion.

I just love the picture of Taisei sucking on your hand. Does he suck his thumb? Adele was an avid thumb sucker until 2 months ago. She hasn't sucked since.

Ahahahahaha, love the wipeout pic bro! Did you just happen to catch that one by accident? Glad to hear he wasn't hurt by his escapade attempt.
Andersen sucks on everything and anything his mouth comes in contact with as well: pacifier, my shirt, my finger, his hand, has mittened hand, my nose, anything...

Taisei's just so active, it's not hard to get blurry pictures of him. I remember the sucking days. This is different. Now, it's more like tasting. Everything he sees, he'll reach for and try to either bring it to his mouth, or bring his mouth to it. Just wait. The slobber is just beginning for you. :)
Nope. Taisei doesn't suck his thumb at all. If it would help him fall asleep, then I wish he'd do it. But sleeping continues to be a hit and miss thing. Usually he just goes to sleep. But some days, he just wants to cry. And we're very aware of his consciousness levels during the day - overtired, etc. (Please read "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Baby")
