Pioneer Day
Happy Pioneer Day! This Utah holiday celebrates the day in 1847 when Brigham Young arrived in the Salt Lake Valley and declared "This is the place." But I believe this holiday is significant not only to those who's ancestors walked across the plains to Utah 150 years ago. Each of us can be a pioneer in our own rights. Afterall, this is the United States - the land of pioneers. There are very few of us that can trace our heritage to more than a few generations back without following it to another country. If we work hard, we can be pioneers in our fields, in our religions or in our families. Wami's just had the first Nitta baby outside of Japan. Go Nitta baby! :)Here is Taisei pioneering the baby-in-a-sleeping-bag look (bear lake, 7/7):
Here, he continues to hone his techniques in stroller-yoga (7/20).
Taisei's decided to bring back the sleeping on the tummy trend. He just won't sleep on the back anymore.
Taisei pioneers the way for his buddies. "Please meet my pal, Kouki "Loa" Sing!"

I busted out laughing with the yoga picture and comment. That one is hilarious. Some guy won a ton of money on America's Home Videos cuz he had footage of his baby making weird faces and slow motion karate moves. It was eerie but funny.
